As a successful attorney, David Ellin brings 24 years of experience to the voters of Carroll County. As a former Baltimore City Assistant State’s Attorney, he prosecuted over 40 jury trials. He has witnessed firsthand the devastation opioid addiction has on individuals, families, and communities and believes education and intervention is a solid step in the fight against the use of illicit drugs. Currently, in private practice, David is also the legal counsel for the Carroll County Republican Central Committee.

David is personally and professionally invested in our community, he is passionate about the safety and preservation of Carroll County. A resident of Carroll County for over 10 years, David lives in Finksburg with his wife Nicoleta and his two children who attend Carroll County Public Schools. David supports our schools and various community organizations.

He is a proud sponsor of Finksburg Baseball, involved with the Boys & Girls Club of Westminster, and provides legal assistance to our veterans by working closely with Carroll County Veterans Independent Project. David also plans to establish the inaugural Veterans Court in Carroll County which will assist our veteran population of over 11,000 citizens.

He is fully invested in keeping Carroll County a safe place for families and businesses to prosper. David is committed to providing his children and his future grandchildren a safe place to call home. David Ellin received a B.A. in English from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1994. He attended Cambridge University, Cambridge, England and received his Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1997. He is a member of the Carroll County Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Baltimore County Bar Association as well as the Maryland Association for Justice. David has also been recognized as a Super lawyer by his colleagues every year since 2009.
